Our Focus

We can accommodate an evening or weekend visit with special arrangement. Alternatively, why not bring your group during a school holiday.

We offer a visit tailored to your group timings to the Faversham Charters.

-The children will look at a short presentation around images on the charters.
-The whole group will dress in medieval clothes (if they wish).
They will then complete 2 different activities in rotating groups for approx. 20 mins per activity:
1.Visit the exhibition room and look at the charters and other artefacts. They will hunt for partial images
2.The children will look at illuminated letters and create their own. Wearing a protective apron, the children will write with a quill and ink (watered down paint).

-Remove the costumes and ask what they have learnt.
