The newly appointed Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, Admiral Sir George Zambellas GCB DSC DL and his wife, Lady Amanda visited us last week.
Faversham has many of its charters in order to resolve the historical disagreements between previous Lord Wardens of the Cinque Ports and the Abbot of Faversham Abbey. Both felt they had rights to govern Faversham and this needed to be clarified by the ruling monarch of the time. View our charters here.
