725 years ago today the 1300 Magna Carta was issued.
It was the last confirmation of the 1225 Magna Carta drawn up by the Royal Chancery, and was distributed under King Edward I’s seal, to the counties and cathedrals of the country.
You can view Faversham’s 1300 Magna Carta, one of only 6 known to have survived, in our exhibition, open every day with FREE entry.
Visit today and you will see our volunteers Pat and Catherine dressed in period clothing!
